New Pistons

Here are some pics of my new pistons






So, the block is done, the pistons are done, the rods are done and we are now waiting on the crankshaft which is now being worked on along with several others. Once that is done it will be assembled and shipped out. While that is being done I am still waiting on the head to be ported, polished, and coated.

At this point it will probably be sometime in mid-feb before the build is complete.

Wow.. So pretty. So you are without Lauren until then?

Nope. I've still got Lauren. I picked up a spare K24 block a while back and that is what I sent them to build. That way I get to keep my baby up and running during this whole process.

11.0:1

I don't really know how much boost I'm going to be able to make, but it won't be big with the little blower I've got so I'm running as high compression as I think I can get away with. I know there are some guys with K20A's running s/c'd and 6+ lbs of boost, and hell RSX guys running 11+ so I figure 11.0:1 should be fine.

oh yah you will be 100% fine.. hell some rsx guys boost 16 psi on stock internals.. and you are going to be FORGED YOOO


i think it is going to be a monster.. when is it expected to be done?

Hey, Bear bear wanted you to wait till summer time to go, if you'd done that you could have gone for a ride in her, but noooooo......... you had to go earlier than that

haha, my psychiatrist says i iz a late bloomer..

but yes i have bearings that have spun and need replacing bwaha!

apparently it will be done the day after hell freezes over.

Supposedly we are waiting on the crankshaft to be finished and then all the parts will be sent to ERL for final assembly. At this point I don't have any idea what kind of backlog ERL has. Hopefully not too much because most of the race teams should be out there racing and not having motors built. I'll just have to wait and see. Its really beginning to piss me off, but I'm kind of limited on what I can do.

Ah, its a crappy situation but I guess common when you go this far.
